eternal struggle:

making things vs. taking a break from making things

explained, in sentences:

sometimes you get the feeling like you’re doing nothing and need to make something.
other times you get the feeling like you need a break so that your mind can be free to make things.

only if i had some sort of gauge, measuring creative-ability. when it is empty, i would fill it up. when it is full, i would use it.

looking out the window, i saw a crow with what looked like a chunk of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich in its beak. it was poking around in the grass, then dug a hole and stashed the microsandwich, covering it up with pieces of moss and turf from around the area.

about thirty minutes later it returned to the exact position, recovered the tasty morsel and continued on its way.
